Villa Nomade rates as one of my absolute favourite projects to date! Often designing in the Caribbean there tends to be the request for a beachy or coastal theme with white and blues and sea accents.While this look is stunning, it is lovely to stretch the wings and do a design that is totally different where you can really enjoy the opportunity to be creative.
The clients shared they loved traveling and especially the feel of Tulum. The boho, relaxed vibe with lots of texture and warmth and bold pops of colour and wanted to create that feeling in their home. While they were thinking of renting, they truly wished to relocate to Barbados and take advantage of the fact that they could work remotely and wanted a space that they would absolutely enjoy.
The clients loved interesting, innovative and out of the box design elements and were excited by unique takes on their boho design concept. The result was truly a unique project that stands out in Barbados. From gallery photo walls, a variety of hats being used as decor and custom furniture pieces, every space in the villa was a feast for the eyes and conversation piece.
The villa jumps out on Airbnb as truly special, totally instagrammable and a real experience instead of just being somewhere to rest your head. I look forward to working on more unique designs where in creativity and unique elements can really be showcased to their full potential.
