Returns + Exchanges

At Dwellings, we pride ourselves in selling quality items and honor all items' manufacturer warranties. 

Please read below for more details about exchanging or returning a defective item.


You can return eligible items within 30 days of receiving an order for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt or gift receipt is required. Made-to-order, custom and special order items are not eligible for returns.  In certain cases, such as furniture and items requiring assembly, a usage or restocking fee may apply on your return.  Please review our refund policy and the full list of ineligible items below before starting the process. 

WAYS TO RETURN

  • In Store - Items can be returned within 30 days of receipt. Original receipt must be presented and the purchase will be refunded in the original form of payment. Item must be in original packaging, unused and free of any damages due to normal wear and and tear. 

  • By Phone - call Customer Care for furniture or items over 70 lbs. See contact info below.

  • By Email - please fill out the form below to start the process.

Items Not Eligible For Return

  • Items without an original receipt or gift receipt

  • Mattresses

  • Monogramed and Personalized items

  • Gift Cards

  • Made-to-Order and Special Order items

  • Final sale items

  • Items damaged through excessive wear and tear, inadequate maintenance, voltage or electrical fluctuations or other defects not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Stocked Items

If you are dissatisfied with your purchase of a stocked item, including manufacturer defects, you must exchange or return it within 30 DAYS of the order receipt date for a full refund of the merchandise cost. Delivery fees are non-refundable.

Refund Policy

  • Original Receipt - Returns with the original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment.

  • Gift Receipt - Returns with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Merchandise Credit for the amount of the gift receipt.

  • Delivery Fees - Delivery fees are non-refundable and prior purchases are not eligible for price adjustments.

  • Cash & Check Refunds - Cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check and mailed to you (may take 14 business days)

Registry Support

For returns of items purchased from your Dwellings registry, we will gladly provide Merchandise Credit or exchange within 90 days of your event or within 90 days of purchase (whichever date is later).
